If you dream of discovering the true flavors of Apulia and learning about the culinary traditions of this beautiful region, join us for an unforgettable culinary journey through Bari. The tour takes place on Wednesdays or Fridays at 6:00 PM, and for groups of 4 people, you can request a different time with the possibility of starting at 7:00 PM (by prior arrangement). The price is €60. Please note that we cannot start at 5:00 PM, as it is the lunch break time (pausa pranzo). The tour lasts 2,5 to 3 hours, and all registrations and allergy information should be sent to: barifoodtour@gmail.com.
The tour starts in the Old Town at Piazza Ferrarese, next to the archaeological site.

During the tour, you’ll visit at least seven stops in authentic, local eateries where you’ll try regional specialties such as:

• Apulian cheeses and cured meats – the best local products that truly capture the essence of the region.
• Spitz or wine
• Panzerotto – traditional dough filled with mozzarella and tomatoes, either fried or baked, but you’ll also try other unique versions!
• Sgagliozze – fried polenta squares, the perfect snack for any occasion, served with a touch of salt.
• Orecchiette – the iconic ear-shaped pasta, handmade by Italian housewives in the streets of Bari Viecchia, served with tomato sauce or with rape (Italian broccoli).

Desserts: To finish the food tour, enjoy a sweet treat:

• Gelato – because no Italian tour is complete without ice cream!
